Duane was my little brother and I use to have to let him hang out with me when we were little kids. Because of that I kinda got in the habbit of taking care of him. He was never the Duane of Gator Productions to me. I could never see that part of him. He was just my brother. When we were kids we use to snap or fight or just hang out watching kung fu movies in my mothers basement. We use to wear the same clothing on different days. We would pull pranks on each other all the time. The funny thing was after we pulled pranks on each other, we would fine tune them and it would be 10 times as funny when we found a victim togother. That's how it was with us, when we worked on something together it turned out to be 10 times what we could do alone. When I was a kid all of my buddies were stearing towards negative life styles. That wasn't for me so I gravitated towards fellas that wanted to have a good time. Fellas that didn't feel they had to ice grill everyone at a party and start fights to have a good time. We did have to pound out a few dudes because they pushed to hard but not often. My crew didn't need to get liquor or weed in there system to be high. Just seeing all of our brothers from other mothers was such a hight we didn't need anything else. Once we got the name Gator and some said Hooo! we new we were a part of something that was outstanding. We were not in videos or rap records and we were not celebrated for moving drugs or driving big cars but we fealt that we were just as big as Rakim or Alpo. We would go to events or places that held hundreds and think we were the center of attention. Because we believed, we lived it and by the end these events we would be the center of attention. We would go to the Walkathon and there would be thousands and we make it a party in the streets. This could not get any better...is what I thought. Then Duane touched Gator and it became so much more. He perfected perfection. He use to always say " business is business". He understood Gator and its pontential in a way that I have not grasped to this day. He took all of the wild energy that we were and channeled it. He gave Gator direction. Everything that Gator was, was fine tuned through him and it became 10 times better. What he did has had such an effect that I am still trying to take it all in. I like it when I'm sitting in a barbershop somewhere and hear someone talking about Duane and how cool he was and they dont even know who I am. Or when some 5ive foot cutie reaches out to me to say how much she loves and misses him. Because of this he is still with me in a way. And I guess that's how he is taking care of me. He has further extented my family.

This is the first time I have been on the blog in a long time. I must say I have missed all the fun.

Very nicely put Poo Poo.
