More Gator News

This just in to the News Room:
We all know about the Gator Reunion on Saturday, July 21, 2007 - Well, from what I understand, some OG's are working deligently behind the scene's to put together a Gator/21 Jump Family Picnic for Sunday, July 22, 2007!

Right now, I would like to get your opinions on the Picnic, and suggestions for a location.

There may be $10 per adult donation request to assist with the food and beverage portion of the picnic. ( More info on the donation is soon to follow).

There also were some talks of having an "Old Gators" Basketball Game! LOL So let me know if you'd be willing to play.

Now back to your reguarly scheduled blogging.....

Hey Gators,

As an outsider looking in I think someone should see what it will take to "Close down Belmont".

Where it started is where it should be!!

In order to close "close down Belmont", 100 signatures must be collected, a support letter from a the neighborhood association or church, a street application permit ($15 fee) has to submitted to the community board 90 days prior to the event and then forwarded to the NYC Community Assistance Unit 60 days prior to the event. Other permits, such as a noise or liquor permit, may be required. If you know someone at the community board you may be able to get a pass on the 90 day deadline, but that still leaves a very short turn around time to organize, gather signatures and submit in time for the community board to approve and send to the CAU by 5/22 to beat the 60 day deadline. I'm in the midst of the process for another organization.

Mrs. Slate, definitely not intended to shoot down your idea. As Michi mentioned, just an FYI, in case we want to do that at another time.
