I cannot believe its 3 years already!!!! My brother you are truly missed and loved!!!!
Here is a moment of silence from me to you in your memory!!!
RIP MR DUANE FRANCIS
LOVE YOU,
MICHI...ELLE
This poem is not only dedicated to my brother Duane "The Steak" Francis, but also to Charmaine & Shane Francis in his memory:
Remember
by Christina Rosetti
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
I miss you, my dude. I cried at your funeral, but I don’t cry at your memory. We had too many good times for that. There's too much to smile & laugh about when I think of you to let the thought of your passing fill me with sadness. Today I celebrate. Today we all celebrate. We celebrate your life, your memory, and your legacy. We love you.
Forever your brother from another,
Ant Black

WOW..its only been 3 years and it seems like 10!! When my brother dee aka jay z aka ralph tresvant aka big daddy (these were the nicknames i had for him) passed on i was extremely saddened by his passing that i became depressed in the worst way.(this was the first time i have lost a childhood friend) I was so hurt and angry because there was nothing i could do to save him. nothing i could do to help with the pain and suffering. I went to the hospital, the viewing, then the funeral and i couldn't even catch my breath because i cried so much.(my eyes are swelling with tears as i am typing)I was so devestated that i couldnt even attend the dinner afterwards.(Charmaine who was so strong and nonchalant had to uphold me because i was so weak )Yes it did take awhile to regroup and accept that the good Lord has done his work. My friends, this experience has made me a better, more humble and more compasionate human being. I have learned that by me just being there with dee during his time of suffering DID take some of the pain away. No matter what discomfort or pain he was in, he managed to keep a smile on his face. We went to lunch at a diner one afternoon and we were going home and as he hugged and kissed me goodbye,he whispered in my ear "Don't worry about me connie, just take care of yourself, stay fine and god bless your daughters." Those were the last words i heard him say and like 2 or 3 days later he passed on. I miss my brother and i think of him very often but in a good way. No more tears because now i can't wait to get where he's at, Upstairs with the rest of the angels! So today i celebrate the life of Duane Francis and continue to support his legacy and his dreams. Nowadays I smile more often and i tend to be humble and more friendly because these are the qualities that Dee has passed on to me.(if he could do it while sick in a hospital bed i could do it being a healthy person) Just loving people and loving life. God bless his soul and spirit. i miss you my brother and i will never forget you!! God bless Charmaine and Shane, love you both!! Always thinking of you...RIP DEE..GATORS IN THE HOUSE, GATORS IN THE HOUSE!! HO!! 21 JUMP, 21 JUMP ,HO!!!
That's whats up, Con!
